About

Michele Webster

I’ve always been inspired by people—the stories about their lives, and the courage they show in working through many difficulties. I believe that clients have the ability to build on their strengths to find their voice with support and guidance.

I worked in Massachusetts for several years with children, families and adults. Then I moved my practice to the beautiful countryside of Vermont to be closer to my ailing mother. I find great solace in hiking, gardening and kayaking and Otto, my cat.  After working at agencies for many years, I decided to venture into private practice.

In my practice I help clients to:

  • Utilize coping strategies to address behaviors that haven’t been very productive

  • Learn new skills to maneuver in a challenging world

  • Build on strengths to enhance confidence and self-esteem.

I provide a safe and compassionate environment that is non-directive to foster a therapeutic relationship. I seek to promote healing and growth from past negative experiences.

Collaboration is always a goal in therapy. I have 20+ years experience working with children, adolescents, adults. When needed, I work with client family members who are survivors of neglect, abuse, behavioral concerns and a variety of mental health issues. I use a humanistic approach and eclectic modalities to fit the clients needs: cognitive/behavioral therapy; EMDR; positive psychology, grief, loss, solution-focused therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy.
